A homemade Christmas ornament

For Christmas, I was on an ornament making kick and made this one with a photograph of my mom.  I thought it was comical, but also a way of expressing how I wish Santa Claus could deliver her back to me as a gift for Christmas.  She was not delivered, but she is in my heart and in my mind at all times, so I guess that will have to do.

Working on this year's Santa portrait. I should be done with it soon. Santa has arrived down the chimney to find an adorable toddler waiting for his arrival.

Halloween happenings....

I thought I would share a photo of something really cool my sister and I saw at the Ghoultide Gatherings in Michigan.  It was a quaint show in an old time village type setting with artists selling their Halloween themed sculptures.  Isn't this unique?  We loved them.

This is me with the finished work of "When Time Stands Still" of all my vintage toys in a still life.  I did the entire piece in Prismacolor pencils.  Loved every minute of working on this one!

Blogging is new to me.  I don't facebook often, I don't use a cell phone and I certainly do not Twitter.  Call me old-fashioned and I won't take that as an insult.  Life is good.
